The Rahu-Ketu or Kala Sarpa Dosha puja is a Hindu ritual performed to appease the malefic effects of the planetary positions of Rahu and Ketu in a person’s astrological chart, according to Vedic astrology. This dosha (flaw) is believed to occur when all the planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu in the birth chart, creating a “serpent-like” formation.
